Trinity Church of Austin is a new name for an old congregation. We aim for consistent presence both inside the sacred circle of our sanctuary, and also in the wider community. We love and support ministries and justice and joy with our time, our talent, and our treasure.

What drives this love of justice is people–our people, whether you are a member, a visitor, someone who came once a long time ago, or someone we haven’t met yet. Trinity isn’t just a building, it isn’t just a church–Trinity Church of Austin is our people.

Your Support Makes a Difference

Donate
Every Sunday, we have two offerings—one to support our general operations, and the other for a special ministry or need inside or outside of our Austin community.
Our past special offerings have been dedicated to important causes such as LGBTQ organizations, environmental causes, interfaith organizations, underserved populations, and urgent needs/ disaster relief.
Our regular offering includes pledges and spontaneous giving, which go to support church programming & ministry, building maintenance, utilities, staff salaries, and connectional (UCC and UMC) benevolences and support.
You may place your offerings in the woven basket on Sunday mornings or donate online through Vanco.

Kids & Youth Ministry

Trinity Kids & Youth
From the tiniest tots to high school seniors, kids and teens of all ages are Beloved members of the Trinity community. We aim to be a place where your child feels safe, supported, and affirmed.
Opportunities for our kids and youth include:
Children Community Hour
At 10 AM on Sundays, kiddos in preschool through 3rd grade are invited for playtime and fun activities before the 11 AM Celebration.
Nursery
Our nursery is in progress! We hope to have this space ready by fall 2026. Infants up to age 4 will be welcome to join the nursery during the 10 AM hour and the 11 AM Celebration.
Children’s Ministry
We have a special time for kids, called the Children’s Moment, during the 11 AM Celebration. After the Children’s Moment, kids ages 4/5 through 3rd grade go to our classroom for programming activities. On the first Sunday of the month, we stay in the sanctuary for the whole service and share communion with everyone.
Youth Group
Our youth group is for tweens and teens in 6th grade through age 18. We meet 2-3 times a month for justice/service projects, spiritual education, and special events.
Adult Education & Small Groups
Evolving Small Group Ministries
Trinity’s small group offerings are changing and evolving! We offer groups for study, socializing, spiritual exploration, and more, and our groups meet both onsite and virtually.
Happy Heretics
The Happy Heretics meet in the Parlor behind the sanctuary and across from the choir room. We are a collection of explorers intellectually seeking truth. We expose ourselves to the known and unknown—including writings, traditions, and mystics of all religions and philosophies, from the distant past to the present day. These—coupled with doses of philosophy, religion and spirituality, personal opinion, and conjecture—frame our discussion around the issues of the day, comparing notes, asking questions, and gracefully challenging ourselves. Loel Graber facilitates our group. Contact the church office if you’re interested.
Social Justice Class
The Social Justice class meets down the hall from the music room. The class, which has been meeting for over 15 years, creates a community space for individuals who are working towards justice in their daily lives to explore different social justice topics together on Sunday mornings.
Trinity Celebration Choir
The choir performs at the 11 AM service during the school year. Practice start 10 AM in the Community Hall. No experience necessary! Come celebrate and sing!
Contact our music director, Christa Tumlinson, for more information about the Trinity Celebration Choir.
Trinity Earth Band
Trinity musicians periodically perform under the moniker Trinity Earth Band at 11 AM. You might hear songs from artists such as U2, Jackson Browne, Feeder, or Tom Petty. By placing secular artists in the context of worship, lyrics expand our understanding of the sacred.
Contact our music director, Christa Tumlinson, for more information about the Trinity Celebration Choir.
United Women in Faith
Meets on the 2nd Sunday of the month
The Trinity UMW chapter meets in the Community Hall after 11:00 AM service. The purpose of the group is to know God and experience freedom as whole persons through the teachings of Jesus; to develop a creative and supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission and through participation in the global ministries of the UMC. Membership is open to any woman who wishes to participate.
Contact Emily Albrecht or Susie Tacchi in person or through the church office for more information.
